NFCS ... Living the Faith

The NFCS Leadership Journey

Leadership in NFCS is a transformative journey that begins with active membership and culminates in service to the Catholic student community. Our leaders are formed through a comprehensive process that nurtures both spiritual and professional growth.

1

Active Membership

The foundation of leadership in NFCS is active participation. Begin by joining your local chapter and engaging regularly in activities and events. This allows you to understand the organization's mission and values.

2

Volunteer Service

Demonstrate your commitment by volunteering for various roles within your chapter. This provides practical experience and helps you develop essential skills while contributing to the community.

3

Leadership Training

Participate in NFCS leadership workshops and training programs. These sessions equip you with the knowledge, skills, and spiritual formation needed for effective Catholic student leadership.

4

Chapter Leadership

Apply for leadership positions within your local chapter. This might include roles such as committee member, secretary, treasurer, or vice president, depending on your interests and skills.

5

Provincial/National Leadership

After demonstrating effective leadership at the chapter level, you may be nominated or elected to serve at the provincial or national level, where you can impact the broader NFCS community.

NFCS leaders embody specific qualities that reflect our Catholic values and organizational mission. These qualities guide our selection process and leadership development programs.

Strong Faith

NFCS leaders demonstrate a deep commitment to Catholic faith and values. They lead by example in prayer life, sacramental participation, and living the Gospel values.

Servant Leadership

Following Christ's example, our leaders serve others with humility and compassion. They prioritize the needs of members and the broader community above personal recognition.
